Rtn. Holger Knaack
International President

Knaack is the CEO of Knaack KG, a real estate company. He was previously a partner and general manager of Knaack Enterprises, a 125-year-old family business.

He is a founding member of the Civic Foundation of the City of Ratzeburg and served as president of the Golf-Club Gut Grambek. Knaack is also the founder and chair of the Karl Adam Foundation.

A Rotary member since 1992, Knaack has served Rotary as treasurer, director, moderator, member and chair of several committees, representative for the Council on Legislation, zone coordinator, training leader, and district governor.

He is an endowment/major gifts adviser and was co-chair of the Host Organization Committee for the 2019 Rotary International Convention in Hamburg.

Knaack and his wife, Susanne, are Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation and members of the Bequest Society.

Rtn. Jose Chacko M
District Governor

Jose Chacko M

Jose Chackowas born on 18 th May 1963 to the late M.C Chacko and Mrs. Rosy Chacko. Jose, led the early stages of his life in Perumbavoor, Kerala. He went on to do his High school at the Nirmala High School in Moovattupuzha, and later on, pursued his college days at the St Paul’s College in Kalamassery, Kerala.

Jose, completed his BE (Civil), from the famous University Viswesaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore.

In 1985, the very initial days of Jose’s career marked his entry to FACT as a trainee engineer, which ledhim to later on join the family business.

In 1996, Jose took his first bold step by venturing into a manufacturing business, producing Plywood and allied products, M/S Delta Plywood & Boards.

2004 marked the inception of his second venture- M/S Delta Wood Panels, producing chemically treated Edge Glued Finger Jointed Boards, using Malaysian technology.

He was alsoa member of the Trade delegation to the USA under the Ministry of Commerce and trade of Government of India in the year 2008.

In 2011, He commenced his third manufacturing venture, which involved the production of Film Faced Shuttering Plywood, required for the construction of multistoried buildings.

Jose was instrumental in the formation of Perumbavoor Plywood Construction PVT Ltd at SIDCO Industrial Estate, Angamaly, under the Cluster Development program,Ministry of MSME, Govt of India.

He was instrumental in the formation of SOPMA Importers & Exporters P Ltd, andserved as Director of SOSEL Ltd, a public Ltd company involved in the distribution of petroleum products.

2015 marked beginning of another venture, being the Managing Partner of Delwin Plywood at Bangalore,a company into the distribution of building materials and allied products.   

Jose was also the Recipient of the Export award for two consecutive years, 2009 and 2010 respectively, from the CAPEXIL, Export Promotion council under the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Govt of India.

As a proud Rotarian, he began his journey during 1990, by joining as a member of the Rotary club of Perumbavoor.

Served Rotary club of Perumbavoor as Secretary in the year 1993-94 and President during 1996-97.

Apart from these, he had also served as many other relevant positions during his remarkable journey as a Rotarian. Jose had contributed a lot at the club level- by serving as a Director for many avenues.

At the District level, Jose had been actively involved in many major activities like, member of Governors nominating committee, served as District Director, Chaired for the Regional Fellowship Meet, Chaired for DTTS (DOTS), served as Faculty for training events and much more.

The District Level saw an even more active Jose, with his notable activities, such as -

  • Served as GGR.
  • Took active role in organizing the Multi Regional Fellowship meet.
  • Organized PETS at Kandy, Sri Lanka, for the first time, organizing an event abroad in the history of our District 3201.
  • Organized DTTS.
  • Served as the chairman of District Conference 2014 “Thejus“at Karukutty, Angamaly.
  • He was the Assistant Governor for the year 2005- 2006.

An avid traveller, an active social person, an attendee of many Major Rotary events,he attended five Rotary International conventions and has also won many awards.

Jose is married to Rtn. Mrs. Rose Mary Jose. The couple has been blessed with 2 children, Mrs. Rosmy Jose, married to Dr. Joseph kurian and Mr. Jacob Jose respectively.

A Clinical Laboratory and Blood Bank have been inaugurated at the Thrissur District Hospital by Agriculture Minister of Kerala VS Sunil Kumar. RI District 3201 Governor Jose Chacko & IPDG Madhav Chandran unveiled a GG Project Plaque. Thrissur Mayor MK Varghese presided over the function. Club president Col Rajasekharan Nair welcomed the gathering and projected the report of the Global Grant project. Rtn Jose Chacko, Rtn Madhav Chandran, and Corporation Councillor Rijo Joy addressed the gathering . Club secretary Rtn AV Iyer proposed a Vote of Thanks. The new Blood Bank and Clinical Laboratory will be a great boon to the community who depend on the General Hospital for their medical needs. The project was implemented by the Trichur Rotary Club with support from Fond du Lac Morning Rotary Club, Wisconsin, US. It’s sponsored by the Rotary Foundation & Rotary District 3201.

We celebrated our Charter Day on 14th January 2021. In commemoration of our Charter Day we wanted to donate a tricycle to a needy person. We chose Mr. Subbaiyan who is residing in the bus shelter in Thethipalayam Coimbatore. His both legs are affected and one is in the stage of amputing. He is not able to move his legs even two to three steps. We donated him woolen blanket, new dhothi for pogal and pongal,
